Head of state
SourcedElected by a joint sitting of Parliament on 7 October 2025, unopposed; succeeded Dame Sandra Mason.
Ministers and titles are verified against the official gazette assignment notice (as at 16 February 2026) and the Parliament's list of Cabinet Ministers. The two disagree on one title: the gazette gives Kerrie Symmonds as Minister of Energy, Business Development and Consumer Affairs, the Parliament page as '... and Commerce'; the gazette wording is used. Both official pages name the Minister of Technological and Vocational Training as 'Cheryl S. V. Husbands'; she is known as Sandra Husbands. The President's start date rests on references; no official page of the President's office was opened. No changes after February 2026 were found.
