Évariste Ndayishimiye is President of Burundi. He is a member of the CNDD-FDD party and served as Minister of the Interior and Public Security from 2006 to 2007. He was later military aide to President Pierre Nkurunziza and was the party's candidate in the 2020 election.[4]
