Péter Magyar has been Prime Minister of Hungary since 9 May 2026. A lawyer by training, he worked in the Foreign Ministry and in Hungary's Permanent Representation to the EU, was CEO of the Student Loan Center from 2019 to 2022 and was a member of the European Parliament from 2024 to 2026.[3]
