Federal Republic of Somalia

The Office of the Prime Minister's Council of Ministers page lists 25 ministers but is partly out of date: it still shows the ministers of Commerce, Public Works and Information who were replaced in December 2025 and May 2026, and Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur at Ports, who resigned on becoming Speaker on 10 August 2026. Those three posts are filled from news reports (sourced); no successor at Ports and Marine Transport was found, so the seat is left out. The other ministers are verified only in the sense that the official page lists them; later changes not reflected there cannot be ruled out. The two Deputy Prime Ministers, Salah Ahmed Jama and Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi (named Second Deputy Prime Minister in April 2025; the same briefing also calls him interim leader of South West State), are confirmed by the federal government's official weekly briefing of 3 April 2026; no later official confirmation was found. Start dates are given only where a page opened states them.

Hassan Sheikh Mohamud

President of the Federal Republic of Somalia[3][4][5]

The presidency's site names him President. His second term began in 2022. Constitutional amendments passed in May 2026, which the opposition boycotted, lengthened the presidential term from four to five years; he says his mandate runs until 15 May 2027, while opposition leaders say it expired on 15 May 2026 and no longer recognise him as president. Talks mediated by US and UK diplomats collapsed (Somali Guardian). On 15 October 2026 the electoral commission set the presidential election for 15 May 2027.
